UPDATED INTEGRITY RANKING OF WEEKLY IOWA NEWSPAPERS

It is encouraging to report that 34% of Iowa's weekly newspapers continue to have outstanding integrity--at 500 or above, as shown in the following table. Integrity levels are derived similar to how government security clearance investigators and private individuals decide if a person or organization can be trusted. All the information available is evaluated and a determination is made. Iowalive uses algorithms and numbers to quantify the levels, which is a bit more sophisticated than the process used by individuals--but similar to that likely used by government investigators.
Three newspapers tied for 1st place!!
The newspapers in red have significant biases and are likely to be experiencing financial problems as well. They are more apt to endorse homosexual sex, marriage and clergy, and to ignore poor public school and government performance--or give them a free pass. Many favor taxes and tax increases. Taxes and tax increases do not usually bother them, to any significant extent. Some have asked to be removed from Iowalive's email distribution list--but will likely be given the opportunity to reconsider.
