PRESIDENT HARRELD'S LEADERSHIP IMPROVES UI's PERFORMANCE

8-25-16

Greetings, UI President Mr. Harreld and all—

Jennifer Hemmingsen, please forward this post to David Hamilton, in response to his column in the 11-9-15 Gazette.  Thank you very much.

Iowalive's post on http://www.iowalive.net/uitonationallevel.htm reported UI president Bruce Harreld aimed to have UI performing at the best national university level and continue to stay on a national level.  The table in Iowalive's post provided benchmarks from which to measure UI's progress.

As promised, the following updated table shows UI's progress as of 5-1-16.  The table will again be updated in November.

UI IMPROVED IT’S  PERCENTAGE OF BEST NATIONAL UNIVERSITY LEVEL FROM 60 TO 63%  IN 6 MONTHS, UNDER HARRELD

POOR PERFORMERS IMPROVED BUT CONTINUE TO WHINE ABOUT HARRELD’S HIRING

UI COLLEGES AND ACADEMIC UNITS ARE GAINING GROUND COMPARED TO THE BEST NATIONAL UNIVERSITY LEVELS OF PERFORMANCE.   THOSE IN RED NEED IMMEDIATE ATTENTION--SUCH AS CLOSING & MERGING IA STUDENTS WITH ISU & UNI!!  Source:  Available Data Researched and Compiled by Iowalive 8-25-16.

It would cost at least $2.5 million to have academic performance measurement specialists prepare this table.

Numbers were derived using Iowalive's proprietary algorithms and database etc.  Anyone claiming to have better numbers is asked to provide them.
