TRANSLATION OF LEGISLATORS' EVIL QUOTES
The deplorable levels of evil in state budgets and budget dealers is getting even worse, as shown by translations of the following evil quotes carried in the 6-25-11 Cedar Rapids Gazette article, by Rod Boshart.
EVIL QUOTES
'We're making real progress. We're confident we'll continue making progress next week and get a state budget done,' said Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal,
'It would be my hope that today would be the last Friday that we would be at the Capitol for this session,' said House Speaker Kraig Paulsen, R-Hiawatha. 'We've made a lot of progress this week,' he added.
'The stunning swiftness that occurred in working on these budgets in conference committees and the willingness of House members to work with the Senate really surprised me,' Dotzler said. 'I think there's every possibility that we can get this done next week before the shutdown deadline.'
MOST LIKELY TRANSLATION
Evil democrats will get $215 Million plus an evil 3% ($130 million more) allowable growth for evil ISEA teacher union and schools, and businesses will get evil property tax reductions from evil republicans. All other Iowans will get screwed—again!!
This is the kind of evil bipartisanship the evil C. R. Gazette and evil Des Moines Register editorial boards clamor for. The Gazette claimed evil democrats had given up on 3% allowable growth. Evil republicans came to their rescue and threw 3% at them, as usual. Their aim is to spend more—not to spend better.

Governor Branstad said there would be no shut down because he knew he could turn evil and throw 3% allowable growth at evil democrats and get anything he wanted—and he did.
