75% INCREASE IN IA STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT FOR 0NLY $56 MILLION!!
Dr. Sue Atkinson's comments conclude this presentation.
Greetings, Linda Fandel, Governor Branstad's Education Assistant and DE Director, Jason Glass—
The following table shows projections in red for A 75% TOTAL INCREASE IN STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT FOR 0NLY $56 MILLION!! This is based on Tea Party spending acumen, not ISEA teacher union reckless spending. The Cedar Rapids school district just spent over $40 million for a Taj Mahal for evil school administrators.
The table below shows projections for various education fixes and non-fixes—including the useless July 25-26 Education Summit.
The second table below shows the costs of failed past education fixes, perpetrated by constructivists such as yourselves, and the evil ISEA teacher’s union—who are now perpetrating the Education Summit.
Since you have no measurable objectives, no projections and no numbers at all, you ought to find the tables most revealing and useful. Sum the numbers in red, and you will see a 75% total increase in student achievement produced by de-certifying the ISEA teacher’s union and by adopting Judy Hintz’s proven curriculum and instruction methods—for a total 5 year cost of only $56 million!!!
HERE’S WHY
Insecure, control freak teachers and administrators, who are obsessed with money—will immediately change course and listen to Judy Hintz, at Educational Resources in West Des Moines, once they have lost the security of the ISEA teacher’s union, that guarantees pay raises for their failures to educate our kids, shown in the 10 YEAR CHART AND 70 YEAR CHART farther below.
Teacher and administrator jobs will depend on continuously improved student achievement.
With Judy’s methods, students will master reading and math in elementary grades, so well they will excel in all subjects, in the upper grades as well!!
There is No need for an Education Summit!!
The Manhattan Working Paper teachability index chart farthest below and on http://www.manhattan-institute.org/html/ewp_06.htm , and http://www.manhattan-institute.org/html/ewp_06_app01.htm totally debunk the constructivist/ISEA teacher’s union myth that students within the normal IQ range are unteachable, can’t be taught.

10 YEAR CHART
THE CHART SHOWS THE DAMAGE THE CONSTRUCTIVIST ISEA TEACHER’S UNION IS DOING TO IOWA AND OUR KIDS
77% PROFICIENCY MEANS 23% OF IOWA’S 11TH GRADERS ARE READING AT OR BELOW THE 9TH GRADE LEVEL!!
AND HAVE BEEN FOR AT LEAST THE PAST 10 YEARS!
BECAUSE IOWA ADOPTED THE 40TH NATIONAL PERCENTILE RANK AS THE STATE STANDARD

70 YEAR CHART

MANHATTAN INSTITUTE’S TEACHABILITY INDEX DEBUNKS CONSTRUCTIVISTS
http://www.manhattan-institute.org/html/ewp_06_app01.htm
Constructivists and the ISEA teacher’s union have ruined Iowa’s public schools, and are now running the Education Summit.
STUDENTS ARE MORE TEACHABLE NOW THAN EVER!!

Dr. Sue Atkinson's Comments
Highly experienced educator, Dr. Sue Atkinson had this to say about the above presentation. Iowalive estimates that expelling constructivists from Iowa classrooms, as Dr. Sue advocates, would further increase student achievement by 15%, within 5 years.
"Two major challenges will prevent constructivists from jumping right on a fix that will actually achieve results:
1) Constructivists do not know what a world quality education looks like because they, themselves, have not had one AND they believe in defective students even though such student have normal IQS;
2) Constructivists do not want to give up control of education (even though they are proven failures at it)
It will be up to the state to decertify any teacher training programs that use constructivist theory and not allow these individuals in Iowa classrooms. REMEMBER that constructivists were given 13 years (in the NCLB legislation) to bring students up to grade level. They spent that entire time trying to reverse this accountability (instead of figuring out how to effectively teach all normal students to grade level). Constructivists are proven failures and cannot be trusted to bring education up to world standards.
Speaking of world standards, why are only the NAEP test results being cited for this upcoming Education Summit? Why are comparisons not being made to world standards?"
