NEW, NOT BETTER CONFIGURATION OF THE SUNDAY C. R. GAZETTE
Greetings, Zack Kucharski, Gazette Business Editor and all—
If you know the difference between new and better, why didn’t you say today’s, 2017 year ending configuration of the Sunday Cedar Rapids Gazette, is better? The headline for your 240 word editorial claimed, “New configuration for Sunday expands and realigns sections, adds local coverage“. On a scale of 0 to 1,000 tops, the editorial’s Integrity Index Score is 300, a high for the Gazette editorials. But if your editorial had claimed the new configuration is better, it’s Integrity Index Score falls to 150! So technically, you got it right! Except! Just because it is new doesn’t mean it is better!!
You aren’t making the Gazette better, as you ought to be doing. As you recall, your Iowa Ideas Conference was a joke. http://www.iowalive.net/gazetteideasjoke.htm
To improve the Gazette, you must improve its Integrity Index Score. http://www.iowalive.net/deriveopeff.htm As you have been told, integrity is adherence to ethics and morals principles. This rejects bias, such as is epidemic in the Washington Post, with which the Gazette has an odorous, biased, ‘news’ deal.
You admitted the new configuration for Sunday only expands and realigns sections, and adds local coverage. It doesn’t improve sections, local coverage or Gazette integrity!!
Please obtain some good help and try again!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
