ISU OUT PERFORMS UI--FOR LESS PROF COMPENSATION

11-11-15

Greetings, ISU President Steve Leath and all—

UI President Harreld recently set national university performance levels as UI performance objectives that he would fight for.  In response,  Iowalive net workers researched and evaluated  UI’s related performance levels and posted the results on website http://www.iowalive.net/uitonationallevel.htm

Harreld has now been on the job for 10 days, has talked to the deans, who represent the profs, and he is already talking about raising prof pay, before prof performance improvement—as reported in a 720 word article in the 11-11-15 Gazette.

Graduate job offers, their amounts, tuition and student loans are apparently off the UI priority table.   It didn’t take long for the UI culture to convert, if not corrupt, Harreld—to their way of thinking.   Much more on that later—especially on how much Harreld expects increased prof pay to improve anything of significance, especially UI’s % of national university level performance.

Steve, the good news is, you should find the tables herein of considerable interest.   The first table shows ISU out performing UI 68% to 61% overall.    The second table shows ISU decisively out performing UI in Integrity, 280 to 180, and Operating Efficiency 43% to 34%--and you aren’t hollering about more prof pay.   Iowalive estimates ISU profs average about 10% less compensation than UI profs.  And--Iowalive net workers have further found there is no correlation between prof pay and performance.  Anyone claiming to have better numbers is asked to provide them.

The following is the table of existing % of national university performance levels for 10 ISU colleges and schools, prepared by Iowalive citizens and professionals, using the same advanced research and evaluation processes and database used for UI.

The table has columns for tracking future ISU scores, which Iowalive will post as scheduled.  Please fill in the  blanks with your expectations, once they have been derived. Iowalive will likely chart expectations as well.   In addition, you will be notified if any interim scores are not improving.

THE VETERINARY MEDICINE COLLEGE SHOWS WHAT A GOOD PERFORMING ISU ORGANIZATION LOOKS LIKE

It should be the first at ISU to reach 100% of the Best National University Level

The 2 organizations in red are problematic and might best be closed

It would cost at least $2.2 million to have academic performance measurement specialists prepare this table.

Anyone claiming to have better numbers is asked to provide them

*For comparison, UI is performing at 61%.  See website  http://www.iowalive.net/uitonationallevel.htm

The following table shows ISU’s Integrity levels and Operating Efficiencies.

THERE ARE FAR TOO MANY RED NUMBERS IN THE TABLE

What do you intend to do about them?

What results do you intend to achieve?, When?  and at What Cost?

THE POOREST PERFORMING ORGANIZATIONS IN RED, AND THEIR ILK, LIKELY JOINED COMPLAINERS OF HARRELD'S HIRING AS UI PRESIDENT.  THE MEDIA CANNOT GRASP & THUS IGNORES THIS FACT.   Source:  Iowalive 11-10-15

Derivation methods for operating efficiencies are posted on website:   http://www.iowalive.net/deriveopeff.htm

Integrity Index Score Derivation Methods are Posted on Website: http://www.iowalive.net/integrityderivation.htm

Correlation Coefficient for Integrity Index Score and Operating Efficiency is a Strong, Positive .98.  High Integrity People Despise Waste and Consider it Equivalent to Theft.

*Average on a scale of 0 to 1,000 tops, where significant integrity starts at 300, evil is at 250 and below.  Grand larceny scores 40.

It would cost at least $750,000 to have performance measurement specialists prepare this table for ISU.

Anyone claiming to have better numbers is asked to provide them.

Stay tuned for a comparable report on UNI’s performance, that also exceeds UI’s.
