LOUD UI PROF MINORITY HOSTILE TO HARRELD HIRING

9-17-15

Greetings, Iowa Board of Regents and all—

You and Mr. Harreld, new UI President, should find the table and chart below to be of considerable interest.  UI has not yet gone off the deep end.  The few profs hostile to Harreld’s hiring there are vulnerable and can be bypassed.  The Iowa City Press-Citizen and Cedar Rapids Gazette seem to be acting as their loudspeakers.

The Associated Press is less impressed with the profs’ huffing and puffing.

And of course, some lawyers can always drum up a reason for a lawsuit.   The whole Hoo Rah will likely work to Harreld’s advantage as the profs have no substance for their hostilities.  And, there is certainly a crying need for UI grads to get more and better job offers, which Iowalive expects UI President Harreld and dedicated profs to produce--with improved and advertised graduates' skills.
