IOWA LUTHERAN CHURCH SENDS ELCA HEADQUARTERS  A STRONG MESSAGE

The following benevolence chart shows the harbinger of things to come when ELCA headquarters endorsed homosexual sex issues--promoted by the Episcopalians.  Surely the ELCA and the Southeastern Iowa Synod noticed when the Lutheran Church of Hope cut ELCA  benevolence by at least $300,000—but they took no corrective action.    Will Hope now feel compelled to reduce benevolence from $100,000 to 0The answer is a resounding YES, as it has already been decided to zero out ELCA benevolence!

Note the generous Hope congregation now gives over $1 million to Other Benevolence!!

Here is the West Des Moines, Iowa  Lutheran Church of Hope trend chart—prepared from data posted on the ELCA  website.  We expect Hope to soon vote on leaving the ELCA—or at least to continue distancing itself from the ELCA.  Does this concern anyone at ELCA headquarters?  This church is one of the largest, if not the largest in Iowa, and  is growing rapidly, when many other ELCA churches are declining rapidly.
