Greetings, State Legislators and all—
Iowa DE Director Jason Glass has joined the evil ISEA teachers union to get an NCLB waiver to hide Iowa school district failures to meet Iowa’s lowest in the Midwest proficiency standard—the 40th National Percentile Rank (NPR).
· The low standard allows Iowa schools to claim:
4th grade students “proficient” when scoring at the 3.1 grade level,
8th grade students “proficient” when scoring at the 6.9 grade level,
11th grade students “proficient” scoring at the 9.2 grade level, and
Seniors can “proficiently” graduate two years below grade level.
o And the larger schools, and others, can’t even meet those low standards—and are seeking waivers, so Glass is seeking such waivers from accountability as well!
· For comparison, the 95th NPR equates to International grade level. About 4% of Iowa students now score at this level—which is a disgrace to Iowans. Glass doesn't want to talk about this at all.
· Glass and Iowa educators are proving they are unable to overcome the defective constructivist theory of defective students.
o They falsely claim, and have nearly a religious belief, that poor and minority students are defective and cannot learn and cannot be taught—and condemn them to special education status and emotional trauma—for their entire lives.
· Judy Hintz, at Educational Resource Associates in West Des Moines, http://www.thekidfixer.com/ routinely teaches and brings these ‘defective’ students up to grade level and higher. She has more than proven that her teacher hiring and teaching methods are exceptionally effective. Nothing more is needed!
· Judy shoots huge holes in constructivist’s ‘flawed student’ beliefs and they despise her for it. They will not recognize she exists, much less listen to her. At best, they swear and use profanity in her presence. Jason Glass expressed no significant concern and essentially said, SO WHAT, to Judy’s immediate complaint about the excessive profanity used by a Department of Education employee, in her presence, at a recent meeting of about 40 school administrators! · Jason Glass and Iowa educators are proven failures who want to avoid global comparisons—and demand to spend more money in the process. They refuse to admit or recognize the outstanding teaching successes produced by Judy Hintz!
· Anyone thinking the global market will allow Iowa to request a waiver from competition --shows they are a product of the defective education theories--that created this mess in the first place.
