HOMOSEXUAL SEX ISSUES CONTINUE TO PLAGUE ELCA FINANCIALS
10-10-10
The following chart shows continuously worsening Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) financials for the second quarter, 2010. The ELCA is down at least $11.3 million—despite contributions received from the Homosexual Caucus!!
The treasurer tries to obfuscate the continual decline by combing the second quarter with the first quarter decline—as shown in the attachment. It is also curious that it takes the treasurer nearly 3 months from June 30th to ‘cook’ the numbers prior to their release—as out-of-control ELCA expenses continue to exceed receipts!! ELCA headquarters remains in chaos—as the desperate Bishop of the Southeast Iowa Synod compels 150 congregations to watch an ELCA commercial, on a DVD, that replaces Sunday worship sermons!! Preachers ‘following the ELCA party line’ got a day off from preaching, as a result. What next??
The average amount congregations pay for an ELCA preacher to prepare and deliver a sermon is calculated as: at least $140,000 total annual compensation & expenses etc., divided by about 250 days average worked (not socializing) annually, times 1 day to prepare and deliver a meaningful sermon = $560 per congregation, times 150 congregations = $84,000 total the congregations paid preachers for non-preparation and non-delivery of 150 sermons. Does anyone think the Bishop made such a calculation—or even cared about it?
Was the ELCA commercial effective in getting congregations to accept homosexual sex, marriage and clergy? NO! It was a waste of time and effort. It offended at least 60% more people than it pleased.
St. Marks, one of the largest churches in the Southeast Iowa Synod, just passed the first of two votes needed to leave the ELCA!
The exodus of congregations from the ELCA increases as homosexual sex issues continue to plague the poorly managed, spiritually declining, Lutheran Church denomination.
SHARP DECLINE IN ELCA FINANCIALS CONTINUES THROUGH 2nd QTR. 2010
The numbers show the ELCA is down at least $11.3 million in the first two quarters of 2010!!
