It explains why Branstad's school reform fails to fix weaknesses. Judy routinely brings students to grade level the public schools fail to teach--and falsely claim can't be taught.

WHY JUDY HINTZ WAS BANNED FROM THE 'EDUCATION' SUMMIT
Judy would tell how she routinely raises math and reading skills 5 grade levels
with
but 27 to 54 one-hour training sessions, with kids the public
schools can't teach!
She would also tell how to raise skills 7 grade levels
with 27 to 54 one-hour sessions
for other students. Judy has the
proven recipe for doing that and the evil ISEA
teacher's
union, and other constructivists wanting more money for schools, don't
want to hear it--so
they banned her from speaking at the summit!!

IOWA SPENT AT LEAST $14,300 TOTAL PER PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENT IN 2009
The evil ISEA teacher union DEMANDS MORE MONEY FOR EDUCATION!!
IOWA EDUCATION COSTS ARE OUT OF
CONTROL!
It is futile for Iowalive, or
others, to offer
suggestions for school improvement so long as
constructivists
are in control and
schools are given millions without any strings attached for
improving student achievement,
or anything else!!
Where does the School District money go?
(Not for infrastructure)
163 EMPLOYEES WITH SALARIES OF $50,064.20 TO $112,929.00 TOTAL $9,796,356.13
1427 EMPLOYEES SALARIES FROM $20,037.02 TO $49,975.71 TOTAL $50,026,116.92
582 EMPLOYEE'S SALARIES FROM $10,007.12 TO $19,989.74 TOTAL $8,118,981.96
587 EMPLOYEES SALARIES FROM $5,008.80 TO $9,994.90 TOTAL $4,210,446.03
375 EMPLOYEE'S SALARIES $2,000.02 TO $4,998.00 TOTAL $1,260,130.89
145 EMPLOYEE'S SALARIES FROM $500.00 TO $1,000.00 TOTAL = $102,587.84
288 EMPLOYEE'S SALARIES FROM $5.15 TO $499.78 TOTAL $59,961.71
TOTAL $59,822,473.05
All these
salaries are taken from the salaries listed by the School Board..
This year again the Cedar Rapids School ran the salaries according to
the employee’s social security number. Of course they didn’t show
the social security numbers in the paper, but made checking salaries very
difficult. The purpose of the law that requires all public schools to
print the fiscal salaries is to be a report to the tax- payers.
It appears the
Cedar Rapids School district is not forthcoming and afraid to
make known all the many high salaries and benefits that come to many
administrators like one who received $68,000 dollars and has been gone
from the district over a year and a half. This must be one years salary
given to this person for a year (261 days) of accumulative sick
time. When an administrator receives 6 weeks paid vacation each year,
it is easy to put aside all sick days and collect them after you either leave
the district for another one or retire as one person did. I assume that was
the reason two persons received a whole years extra salary when they
left the district last year.
Now anyone can
see why Public Charter Schools were brought into
existence and are blooming everywhere with accountability and
money spent on students and teachers wisely for gaining an education.
Truly the Traditional public schools should be held accountable for their
extravagant spending plus outlandish perks and especially for the many
way over paid administration.
If anyone
would like the listing of all the positions and in their respective
categories simple e-mail Rosanne Freeburg at
coloredu@inav.net and she
will attempt to e-mail the listings for you to study. It is a massive report.
Anyone who
would even think for a second about supporting any tax
effort for this District should give time to learning the true story that this
district does with any money when they spend it with no accountability
and over abundantly on the heavily staffed administration that are
non teaching positions.
