The promise: Cut state spending by 15 percent over five years
The following table shows Branstad’s projected spending numbers, as reported in the Gazette, which clearly show there is NO CUT IN STATE SPENDING AT ALL. THERE IS AN ACCUMULATED INCREASE OF $3.12 BILLION IN STATE TAXES & SPENDING!! THAT’S A TERRIBLE 50% INCREASE OVER THE BASELINE 2012, $6.28 BILLION, TAXES & SPENDING--IN JUST 5 YEARS!!
