PAST BIG LOST DONORS LOST INTEREST IN PROMOTING C. R. LOST

11-1-13

Greetings, Gazette Editorial Board and all—

For the third consecutive year, Corbett and his pals have failed to show any evidence they are intending, or are making, better use of the money they have, before pushing for a $300 million sales tax increase.  Are big tax increase campaign donors finally smelling a rat—the Shadow government’s lapdog Gazette refuses to report?!  Read on!!

In today’s 11-1-13 Gazette, streets tax and spend committee chairman Don Thomas openly admitted he was clueless about the difficulty of passing a LOST in Cedar Rapids.  What more can he say??   And Corbett says look to Waterloo, whose City Hall has an average, year to date 11-1-13 Integrity Index Score of 280, compared to Cedar Rapids corrupt City Hall at 6 He ought to look to Waterloo—and every other city in the state, as they have higher integrity scores--than Cedar Rapids!!

The following table shows the trail of how big donors lost interest in LOST.  These donors came off as being highly civic minded, especially when they didn’t have to pay the freight.   As shown in the following table, Corbett sold them at least a $265,000 donor loser for thinking they would get a 20 year property tax cut.  They didn’t, and haven’t been back to the same big donor level since.  And Corbett has not dared to push a property tax increase on them—to add insult to their injury.  That is why he desperately needs the LOST--to help hide his overspending.

Did you notice the lack of lights in the city owned hotel photo farther below?—showing evidence of another bad City Hall boondoggle!!

As shown in the table, the big donors have been partially replaced by street fixing opportunists who Corbett and his pals have led to believe will get to split $180 million street fixing dollars.  Is the sting in again?  Will the street fixing dollars be shell gamed elsewhere?  The Gazette has never reported or claimed Corbett and his pals could honestly be trusted with $180 million!!!

And the Gazette has never reported how it would verify and report exactly how $180 million was spent to fix streets only.

Beware, big donor--street fixing businesses!!  Watch the general fund and capital budgets for $180 million street fixing increases, if this terrible thing passes!!
