ALARMING LEVEL OF TEACHER UNION DAMAGE
The following table of Iowalive’s analysis of Iowa’s 11th grade math rankings, of 327 schools taking the ITED math test, shows an alarming level of teacher union damage. The teacher union is controlled by constructivist, insecure control freaks, obsessed with money—whom Iowalive identifies as educrats.
They comprise 30% of the teacher’s union and a whopping 60% of school administrators—who are focused on money and control. They firmly believe poor and minority students etc. cannot learn and cannot be taught. They blame school failures on everyone but themselves. Most appear to have passive-aggressive personality and/or obsessive–compulsive disorders, or more. They are so slick and deceptive they exert control of school boards by intimidation, as well as vote counts. But it is even worse when they hold higher offices.
Jason Glass’ emphasis on money-- 4 Tiered Teacher Pay was his first major school proposal--along with his constructivist behavior, clearly show he is an educrat!! Beware of him!!
BRANSTAD WAS DUPED & SNOOKERED BY GLASS & THE TEACHER UNION
Branstad got duped and snookered when he thought he bought off the teacher union with 4 Tiered Teacher Pay, that gives many teachers up to 43% pay raises—with no mention of repealing Chapter 20 of the Iowa Code--or adopting vouchers, so poor teachers could be fired or bypassed—or any mention or expectation for improved student achievement.
The teacher union will take the taxpayer’s money, as it always has, keep poor teachers employed, kill vouchers and charter schools, ignore the students, and fight and limit any student achievement improvements with their school board control. Branstad will look like a fool for paying for more school failures—for which he will try to pass a 17% sales tax increase, to pay for. Businesses will back the sales tax increase because they hardly have to pay any of it. Branstad did it before and he will do it again.
The table immediately below shows 67% of the school boards controlled by the union in 2009, which has now increased to 71.3%--and will soon increase further. The union is feeling the heat and taking aggressive action—hiding below the faulty newspaper radar. The big shot newspaper editors, such as the Cedar Rapids Gazette and Des Moines Register, won’t evaluate or endorse school board candidates. The teacher union laughs at the editors and runs desperate TV commercials to deceive the public.
Newspaper editors intimidated by the teacher union will make NO mention of any of this. They will pretend it isn’t true, even though they have no comparable numbers to show what they refuse to admit or talk about.
The original of the table below is posted on website:
